REMERCIEMENTS
Depuis 2012

Une amie, commissaire au Centre Pompidou, a fait inscrire sur la cimaise générique de l'exposition qu'elle organisait en 2012, au paragraphe " remerciements à ", une dernière ligne indiquant : [Remerciements à] Hubert, pour son soutien sans faille. Ainsi, elle me remerciait pour les échanges et les idées que nous avions partagés alors qu'elle préparait son exposition.

Ce fut l'origine du projet " Remerciements ", qui consiste à faire insérer une ligne dans le générique ou le colophon d'une édition (un livre, une exposition, un film, ou tout autre production). Une simple mention : "Remerciements à Hubert, pour son soutien sans faille". Un remerciement " abusif ", puisque je n'ai rien fait dans la publication et qu'on ne sait pas qui est remercié ni pourquoi.

Ce remerciement énigmatique s'est disséminé, une centaine de fois déjà, comme des clins d'œil que je recense autant que possible. Vous pouvez jouer à repérer où cette sculpture (une œuvre dans l'espace) apparait, mais vous pouvez aussi l'activer vous-même en prenant part à cette œuvre discrète et parasite. Acknowledgments

A friend, a curator at the Centre Pompidou, wrote on the wall of the exhibition she organized in 2012, in the paragraph "thanks to", was a last line indicating: "[Thanks to] Hubert, for his unwavering support". Thus, she thanked me for the exchanges and the ideas that we had shared during the making of her exhibition.

This was the origin of my project "Acknowledgments", which consists of inserting a line in the credits or colophon of an edition - a book, exhibition, film or any other production - as a simple mention: "Thanks to Hubert, for his unwavering support". An "abusive" thanks, because I did not do anything for this project and we do not know who is being thanked or why.

These enigmatic thanks have spread a hundred times already, as winks that I collect as much as possible. Keep your eyes open to see where this sculpture (a work in space) appears, or activate it yourself and become a part of this discreet and parasitic work.
